BEER WITH THE BREWER

1. How was the brewery named?

The name came to me after I’d written the values for what I wanted this new brewery to stand for. Honesty, hospitality, humbleness, hardworking and ingenuity were all traits that were passed down to me from my grandmothers, Molly and Rose. As an homage to two impressive women and as a reminder to what we would stand for, the name stuck.

2. What beers do you have at home in your fridge now?

Molly Rose beers.

3. Best tip for visiting the brewery?

Book yourself in at our chefs table with a date or a mate and let us take great care of you feeding you delicious plates all paired with fantastic beers and wonderful service from our fantastic front of house team

4. Pineapple on pizza, YES or NO?

Yes!

5. If you can only use one hop for the rest of your life, what is it?

Centennial.

6. If you could collaborate with one other brewery, who would you choose?

Alagash, They make fantastic Belgian beers and are a lovely & passionate brewery who care for their people as well as their beers.

7. Some occasions call for the ‘perfect’ beer, what are you reaching for:

a beach beer? 2 An ice cold Bintang Radler
an airport beer? A delicious lager like our Lager #3
the end of the day beer? A big hoppy West Coast IPA, our Skylight is often my go to!
the ‘best beer with dinner’ beer? It depends on what’s being served, but I love how Saisons pair with food, and they come in all shapes and sizes to suit any savoury dish.
to kick back and watch sport with? Molly Rose Little Hazy Beer, the perfect session beer and it’s low carb so it leaves room for extra snacks!

8. What’s the future of craft and how can Craft Cartel beer lovers get on board?

I think the future of craft is going to be all about experience, having amazing experiences with amazing people and amazing beers. A great place to hop on board would be at a Molly Rose event or even just a night out in the restaurant where we really pull out all the stops to make you feel welcome, looked after and well fed.
