The brainchild of two couples, the origins of Co-Conspirators Brewing Company started as a hobby but quickly became an obsession for – Jacqui Sacco, Tim Martin, Maggie, and Deon Smit.

They all met at Merri Mashers homebrew club and educated their palettes by exploring local and international craft beers of every style and challenging themselves to recreate their fave beers.

As the beers flowed and their confidence grew – along with a healthy dose of curiosity – this soon was replaced with building their recipes. Brewing started to take over houses, with simple beer kits brewed on the kitchen sink to full-blown all-grain home brew setups that took over entire garages!

After enjoying the success of winning several home brew competitions, they had the exciting opportunity to re-brew their beloved recipes on a commercial scale. With the success of these craft beers enjoyed in the hands of the public, the seed (or grain) was planted, and over a celebratory pint decided they would conspire to start their own brewing company.

They want to conspire with others to continue to make great beer. Having a great affection for hops, they launched with a West Coast US IPA, but rest assured now many styles and recipes are available that they can’t wait to share!
