Celebrate King’s Day With The Best Dutch Beers

While we generally shine the spotlight on Aussie craft beer, from time to time we love introducing you to our favourite international brews.

As Friday, April 27th is Koningsdag or King’s Day – the national holiday of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, we’ve stocked our shelves with these exceptional Dutch beers.

Not readily available down under, please be quick – stock is limited!

Kees Caramel Fudge Stout
This Dutch imperial stout (ABV: 11.5%) will seduce you! Caramel fudge notes come through strongly with a nice balance between sweet and bitter.
De Moersleutel Je Moer
Thick and chewy imperial porter (ABV: 10%) with aromas and taste of liquorice, mocca and chocolate. A bit sweet and a bit roast bitter with a slight finish of tobacco.
De Molen Rook & Vuur
This stout (ABV: 8.2%) strikes a subtle balance between smoke, chocolate and chilli peppers. Although it has a large complexity it is still surprisingly easy to drink. Tip – try combining this beer with a young Gouda cheese.
De Molen Vuur & Vlam
This IPA (ABV: 6.2%) is a hop forward beer. But for all the fruity and resinous hop flavours, there is a lovely balance with a caramel malt body to carry the bitterness.
