FRIDAY FROTHIES – AKASHA FRESHWATER PALE ALE

FROTHY REVIEW

Resplendent with American Cascade hops, Freshwater is a divine gift of floral, fruity flavours in radiant harmony with a sweetish, malty backbone, resulting in a brilliantly refreshing, thirst-quenching Pale Ale so good it’s almost sinful.

Well, that’s what it said on the can, and we love a wicked brew! We cracked Akasha’s Freshwater Pale Ale this arvo and can tell you, we were not disappointed. No wonder the beer guru has this brew on the members’ epic discounts!

Pouring a slightly hazy yellow-golden, met with a fresh hit of hops on the aroma with floral, citrus, and slightly woody notes.

On the palate, light to medium-bodied, with a crisp and balanced profile – between sweet lemon biscuits and malt. Easy drinking: we can’t get enough. This brew is refreshingly easy to enjoy and would go down well even if you’ve never tried a Pale Ale before.

FROTHY FOOD PAIRING

Try Akasha Brewing Freshwater Pale Ale With…Salt & Pepper Calamari!

Here at HQ, we paired Akasha Brewing’s Freshwater Pale Ale with the humble chicken crimpy! (Well we can’t all have access to a brewery food truck!) But seriously, a salivating combo would be with some chicken wings, or even better a salt and pepper calamari would go down a treat with a few pints. Damn. Now I’m hungry.
