FRIDAY FROTHIES – BALLISTIC OAKED XPA REVIEW
Ballistic Beer Co. is aptly named, especially when it comes to their Oaked IPA. This ball-busting beer is full of smashing flavours and an amazing bitter end that definitely pays homage to the old WW2 munitions factory it’s made in (QLD). The vanilla oakiness to this beer is perfectly balanced out by the bitter XPA finish, with hints of lime and grapefruit adding to that tart tasting ending.
Personally, I find this beer to be quite a strong bitter flavour as I prefer the more modern hazy and the fruity flavour of sours, however, for that oak beer lover in your life, this would be absolutely perfect. An essential for any craft beer connoisseur to try, the Ballistic Beer Co Oaked XPA is living up to its potential.
