Congratulations on surviving another week leading up to Christmas. We are nearly done for the year (except you poor retail and hospitality staff), so why not try and sit down, relax and enjoy a beer.

I pulled this Citrus IPA by Fixation Brewing out of the box recently, not really knowing what to expect. Citrus and beer can be very hit and miss sometimes or, when they get it right, can be something of pure beauty.

Luckily for Fixation, they have nailed it.

As described on the can, it is dripping with luscious amounts of blood orange, grapefruit and the freshest Mosaic, Citra and Amarillo hops. Which honestly is the best way to describe it.

The citrus gives almost a tartness to the IPA whilst creating that sweet fruity flavour. Which is great as it reduces the bitterness (not totally thank goodness) that the large amount of hops create.

This is a very well brewed beer and I will be look forward to the second one in my fridge!

Until next week,

Drink Up.
