Friday Frothies – Nine Fingers Smoke On The Porter Review

Hey Guys.

Happy Friday – congratulations on surviving another week.

Living down in Melbourne, so I decided to pull my mask off for this beauty this week. Nine Fingers Brew – Smoke on the Porter is an absolute gem.

Now I did some research and found out that they actually give you two options for this great little beer, if you don’t like too much carbonation in your porter – you can go the nitro. But if you don’t mind a bit of bubble they give you a carbonated option too.

I personally love a nitro though. Fun from the first pour, the nitro gives it a soft, creamy mouthfeel and as pictured, an absolutely marvelous head.

Not usually a massive fan of smoked beers, this has really impressed me. An intense and balanced beer embracing the sweetness of malted barley with smoke and bitterness of English hops.

Smokey enough to keep things adventurous, Sweet enough to keep it enjoyable.

Dare I say it, a very sessionable Porter.
