Meet Ira. He’s not an IPA, not a Red Ale or some kind of pseudo-Scotch Ale, but a bit like all of them. Ira is… different. Ira doesn’t go for sports, he’s not interested in the school disco, but you should see his collection of vintage Spiderman. He plays a mean oboe, and his cactus garden is borderline scary. Sure, he’s not the coolest beer style around, but beyond the socks and sandals Ira’s having freaky thrills we can barely understand. Booze and IBUs, toffee pinecones, pineapple and dank. Is he weird? Or just a new kind of awesome?
Little Bang Beard Fiction American Pale Ale

A droplet of condensation teased the rim of his glass, the caramel highlights sparkled in the sun, the hop aroma rising, rising… His parched lips parted, and… Beard Fiction. This is an American Pale Ale of borderline-pornographic drinkability. Here at Little Bang, they like their Pales like they like their men: A bit nutty, not too bitter, and pretty damn fruity.

This one started as an idea for Record Store Day. A Black IPA seemed appropriate. Only problem was Little Bang didn’t like them very much. Something about the roasted malt bite and the big piney hops didn’t sit so well. So the mission was clear: Come up with a Black IPA recipe that they’d actually want to drink. So they rounded out the roast a bit and concentrated more on the richer, fruitier hops than the pine cones. The end result is a smoother black hop bomb than most, with a bit of xmas cake to it, and a regular favourite for them. Go figure.
Little Bang Sludgebeast Imperial Stout

Back in Fil’s shed was where the Sludgebeast first emerged. Little Bang said was “Why not?” Why not fill the mash all the way to the top? Why not use that many specialty grains? Why not dose it with coffee, cocoa, vanilla, oak, port… Why not? Then they learned why not… Sludgebeast followed them to the warehouse, and destroyed everything and everyone it touched. It stuck sparges, broke pumps, perplexed palates, ruined parties, consumed souls… And now Sludgebeast has followed them here, and it’s waiting, in this can. What have they done? Oh god, what have they done?
