TASTING NOTES
Bastard Brother, benign and benevolent, is betrayed as both in inverse. He is evil in inebriation and pious in palate, a Saint of savour and a devil of desire. Once consumed, you forever long for more and for-never can satisfy your yearning. As you sup, the Bastard Brother watches over you, waiting for the time to strike, yet, he never does. His victory is in knowing that in your consumption of his brew, he has indeed consumed you. Do not try to fight him, for you will become him…and if you gaze too long into the Bastard, the Bastard will gaze back into you.
Stone fruit esters, bitter orange and magnificent fruity hops blend together with spicy rye, cumin and clove characteristics.
BREWERY SNAPSHOT
In 2009, Dan Dainton first asked his dad, Kevin, to help him open a brewery. Seven years later, after he’d studied brewing at Federation University in Ballarat, worked at James Squire and Holgate, and nomad brewed around town, Dainton Family Brewery finally opened.
