TASTING NOTES

Inspired by the big juicy hop avours found in New England IPAs Gage Roads set out to create a beer radiating with hop character. To make sure Hazy packs that powerful, welcoming aroma they’re using “Cryo Pop” from Yakima Chief Hops – an experimental product made by maximizing the concentrations of the most impactful and complementary hop compounds. But keeping long, warm days in mind – they wanted their new family member to be on the sessionable side. Atomic Hazy Sessions 4.5% – Pale and opaque with a rocky white head. Bursting with big aromas of citrus, tropical fruit and a light herbal note. Saturated hop avour, a soft luxurious mouthfeel and low bitterness make this your next BBQs new best friend.

BREWERY SNAPSHOT

From humble beginnings, Gage Roads has grown to become one of the country’s leading independent breweries. Back in the early 2000’s, two brothers and a couple of mates dreamt of starting a brewery, with nothing more than an idea and a personal credit card. Inspired by their love of good beer and the ocean, Gage Roads took its name from the strip of ocean that separates Fremantle and Rottnest. Setting up shop inside an old factory near Fremantle, the original brewery was created with second-hand equipment and a lot of hard work. While that’s now been transformed into a world-class brewery, founder John Hoedemaker says the memories of the early days remain strong.
