TASTING NOTES
Grassy Knoll’s love freshly harvested hops almost as much as Grassy Knoll’s love supporting locals. Brewing with only Ryefield hops and Voyager malts has been a love affair Grassy Knoll has had for a long time. After a few hours driving down from Wollongong, Grassy Knoll picked and brought back the fresh hops to brew with them the very next day. The Cascade and Centennial wet hops give the beer an earthy and floral characteristic, with hints of pineapple and pine. The malt bill is light and flavourful from the use of Vienna and Munich malts. Drink fresh and enjoy this locally grown, locally brewed West Coast style IPA.

The Grassy Knoll was founded by Chris, owner of a live music venue in Bondi and with a background in creative events, and Jeff with a colourful history of music and backyard brewing. The Grassy Knoll actually started in the backyard with a ‘membership’ scheme that covered the costs of brewing. However, the demand soon started to grow beyond what could be brewed on a small homebrew setup and it became clear that Chris, an avid member of ‘the club’, had to change his tactics. He joined forces with Jeff and they decided to start Bondi’s first brewing company.
