Fresh and aromatic, this Wit IPA sings with fruity hoppiness from Murray River oranges and dry hopped Mandarina Bavaria and Kohatu, in harmony with a light yet hazy body and spicy complexity from the Belgian yeast. The Belgian Wit style has been a favourite of Paul Holgate’s since home brewing in the early 90s – the Holgate White Ale the original brew that launched the brewery in 1999. Their Citrus IPA is outrageously dry hopped and combined with real dried orange peel from Murray River oranges. It blends the traditional Belgian style with modern American-style IPAs.
Since start-up in 1999 in Paul and Natasha Holgate’s back-yard, Holgate Brewhouse brewing company has been producing genuine craft beer from the village of Woodend in Victoria. Brewed, bottled and kegged right there, their beers come straight to you from their family-owned brewery, which they’re stoked to have installed in the awesome 19th century red-brick Hotel in Woodend.
