An intense beer with upfront sweetness from the addition of lactose (Milk Sugar) to the beer, This sweetness is balanced nicely against the dark chocolate flavours of the beer and the bitterness provided from the cocoa helps to dry out the finish so that the beer is not cloying.
At the helm of Hope Brewhouse is head brewer Matt Hogan, who has been steering production since the breweries inception back in 2014. Matt brings a winemaker’s approach to brewing, mixing innovation with tradition. His productivity is only matched by his passion, punching out new crafty masterpieces continuously. At any given time, their taps are flowing with about 12 different brews at their Hunter Valley & Nelson Bay venues.
