La Sirene 2019 Barrel-Aged Praline

TASTING NOTES

La Sirène Praline is a very special Chocolate ale brewed with rich dark malts that when combined with hand-scraped organic vanilla pods and Mexican cacao nibs, provide for a smooth velvety and seductive dark ale. An open-fermented then aged 12 months in Cabernet barrels stout, so it brings with it a welcomed acidity that adds a wonderful refreshing drinkability to a rich ale.

BREWERS NOTES
Aromas of hazelnuts and cacao initially stimulate the senses then the dark malt characters follow with the freshly scraped vanilla completing the experience. What can we say? It is dessert in a beer with a wonderful sourness that borders the Sour Stout category!

Starting life as gypsy brewers in the Victorian Highlands, their artisan brewing adventures swiftly led them to creating their own Urban Farmhouse Brewery next door to the Darebin Creek & National Park in inner-city Melbourne, Australia.
