An Imperial Stout in basic style but with a stronger accent on the chocolate malt over the roast barley, Murray’s Heart of Darkness Stout has some rummy notes from the dark brown sugar. Underpinning it all, the classic Belgian esters and very light phenolics from the yeast.
Murray and the team have been brewing unique and off-beat naturally crafted beers since 2006 and in the process have won a bunch of awards including Australian Brewer of the Year in 2015. The birthplace of Murray’s Craft Brewing Company was the tiny hamlet of Taylors Arm (population 50) on the NSW North Coast.
