TASTING NOTES

Flaming Lamington is a unique chocolate stout with toasted coconut and birdseye chillies. It’s one hell of a flavour packed journey that will leave you with a subtle warming finish. Flaming Lamington is brewed for Dr Jeffs and Dr Watson who are were leaders of the team that saved Brewer and Owner of Nail Brewing’s life John Stallwood after a coward punch left him in a coma for eight days “Doctors, Nurses and everyone in the health industry are the true hero’s and this beer honours them”.
BREWERY SNAPSHOT

John Stallwood, director and head brewer, set up the original brewery downstairs at Perth’s Bobby Dazzler’s, now known as The Boheme and this is where Nail’s first pint of Nail Ale was poured on 23 March 2000. Today, they brew on a 50 hectolitre brew house with five beers available throughout the year plus a range of special annually released brews, their Brew Log Collection beers and Keg Only Releases. In short, there’s never a shortage of delicious Nail Brewing beer!

DID YOU KNOW?

In 2010 John did a one-off brew called Antarctic Nail Ale which was brewed for and in conjunction with the Sea Shepherd Conversation Society, a non-profit organisation dedicated to the protecting the world’s oceans. Antarctic Nail Ale was based on theirr flagship Nail Ale, a classic Australian style pale ale, and brewed using a huge iceberg flown in directly from the Antarctic. It was melted in Tasmania before being brought to Perth to be used in the brew.
