In Norwegian tradition alcoholic beverages are sent across the globe to benefit from the temperature variations and climate changes experienced when crossing the equator. This Belgian tripel was brewed at Bridge Road Brewers in Beechworth, Australia. Maturation took place in Australian Port barrels on its journey to Norway. Blending and packaging was carried out by Nogne-O.
Nogne-O is Norway’s leading and largest supplier of craft beer and the first and only producer of sake in Europe. Their never ending search for new flavours and ingredients constantly results in new seasonal and experimental brews. Nogne-O’s subtitle – “The Uncompromising Brewery” is a plain statement of their mission to craft ale of highest quality, personality and individuality.

The name Nøgne Ø means “naked island”, a poetic term used by Henrik Ibsen to describe any of the countless stark, barren outcroppings that are visible in the rough sea off Norway’s southern coast.
