TASTING NOTES

Mt Duneed Estate Regional Shiraz 2021, 750ml Bottle, ABV 13.5%
Vinification: The handpicked fruit was whole berry fermented in open pots, which were hand plunged twice daily and left on skins for 14 days, before being pressed and matured for 12 months in French oak barrels.
Palate: Berries, kirsch and a hint of vanilla oak with a finish of soft tannins.
Appearance: Deep ruby and purple hues.
Bouquet: Blackcurrant, spice, red berries and black pepper.
Oak: French oak maturation for 12 months.
Cellaring: Drink now until 2027. Contains sulphites. Vegan friendly.

Mt Duneed Estate Regional Tempranillo 2022, 750ml Bottle, ABV 13.0%
Vintage Conditions: The 2022 vintage had a cool growing season with mild weather during harvest. This extended growing season allowed the flavours to fully develop while also retaining natural acidity.. Harvest date early April.
Vinification: Hand-picked fruit was destemmed only for whole berry ferment in open pots. Plunged twice daily to gently extract colour and flavour. A total of 14 days on skins.
Palate: Fine, dusty tannins are supported by the moderate acidity, the black cherry and chocolate flavours.
Appearance: Bright Plum in Colour.
Bouquet: Dried Fig, Mulberry and sundried tomato aromas.
Oak: 16 months in seasoned French Oak.
Cellaring: Drink now until 2027. Contains sulphites. Vegan friendly.

Mt Duneed Estate Regional Pinot Noir 2022, 750ml Bottle, ABV 12.5%
100% Yarra Valley – Valley Floor – Dixons Creek, Yarra Glen, Gruyere
Vintage Conditions: The 2022 vintage had a cool growing season with mild weather during harvest. This extended growing season allowed the flavours to fully develop while also retaining natural acidity. Harvest date early/mid-March.
Vinification: Fruit was destemmed and then cold-soaked in open fermenters for 2 days prior to fermentation. Hand plunged twice daily. Pressed when dry.
Palate: Choc raspberry, baking spice, velvety tannins.
Appearance: Light Cherry Red.
Bouquet: Cranberry, Cherry, Violets.
Oak: French oak maturation for 12 months.
Cellaring: Drink now until 2027. Contains sulphites. Vegan friendly.

Mt Duneed Estate Regional Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, 750ml Bottle, ABV 13.0%
Yarra Valley and Geelong
Vintage Conditions: 2019 was a warm and dry vintage allowing fruit to fully ripen
Vinification: Grapes were hand-picked then destemmed into open pot fermenters. Inoculated with a selected yeast. Warm fermentation with daily hand plunging until dryness.
Palate: Blackcurrant, Earthy and Savoury, hint of vanilla oak.
Appearance: Dark ruby red.
Bouquet: Cedar, Bay leaf, dried herbs.
Oak: Matured in French oak for 12 months.
Cellaring: 5 to 8 years. Contains sulphites.

Mt Duneed Estate Geelong Shiraz 2022, 750ml Bottle, ABV 14.0%
Vinification: The shiraz fruit was picked and pressed gently for minimal colour extraction. Cool fermentation for 2 weeks to accentuate fruit flavours. Left on lees for 3 months to add complexity and mouth feel.
Palate: Ripe, rich and full flavoured with great brightness of fruit. Dark plums, spice and pepper notes dominate the mid palate with firm but silky tannins and a cedar oak finish.
Appearance: Deep crimson.
Bouquet: A complex and lifted bouquet of dark cherry and plum fruits complimented by pepper and spice with a subtle oak background to round out the wine.
Cellaring: This is an elegant style of shiraz which will reward cellaring over the next 8 to 10 years. Contains sulphites. Vegan friendly.

Mt Duneed Estate Single Vineyard Shiraz 2018, 750ml Bottle, ABV 13.5%
Fruit sourced from a vineyard planted in 1999 on Cambrian soils in the heart of the Heathcote region
Vinification: The fruit was handpicked, hand sorted, de-stemmed and fermented as whole berries in static fermenters, then matured in a French hogshead for 18 months prior to bottling.
Palate: Complex with hints of plum, chocolate, violets and spice.
Appearance: Deep dark vibrant hues.
Bouquet: Seductive dark berry fruits. Contains sulphites.
