BREWERY SNAPSHOT
Nestled in the heart of Hobart, Shambles Brewery is the brainchild of a tight-knit group of mates united by their love for beer. What began as a backyard passion project has blossomed into a thriving hub housed within a historic warehouse. From cluttered beginnings as a former butchery and smallgoods factory, the space now boasts a modern 12-hectolitre production facility.
Led by Cornel Ianculovici, a former teacher turned brewmaster, Shambles Brewery prides itself on crafting exceptional beers across various styles. Their core range includes favourites like Summer Ale, American IPA, Session IPA, and Porter, complemented by a rotating selection of limited releases and seasonal brews.
The brewery and taproom offers a selection of 12 taps with a range of core beers and regularly rotating limited releases of styles. There’s something for every taste. You can sit at one of the large tables with locals, or you can cozy up in one of the booths. During cold days, you can feel the warmth of the fireplace.
Shambles Brewery also offers a range of Tasmanian produce, including cider, wine, spirits and soft drinks. When you get hungry, you can choose from a selection of beer-inspired food, such as burgers, fried chicken and parmi. The kitchen is open for dinner on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and both lunch and dinner from Friday to Sunday.
