TASTING NOTES

Mountain Culture Lager, 355ml Can, ABV 4.6%
A full-flavoured ale, lemonier than Mr Snicket, so piney you could varnish it and crisper than pre-dawn mountain air. Basically, it goes down easier than a diving submarine with the hatch still open.

Mountain Culture Cult Juice NEIPA, 355ml Can, ABV 6.8%
Mountain Culture uses their house dry yeast strain for drier finish and to create a nice balance with the juicy pineapple and tropical flavours coming from the hops.

Mountain Culture Status Quo NEPA, 355ml Can, ABV 5.6%
Mountain Culture’s best seller! Status Quo is a juicy New England Pale Ale. Made for hop lovers with massive late and dry hop additions, it’s full flavoured and more tropical than the Hawaiian ukulele orchestra. Aroma and flavour is all a tropical fruit medley with a pillowy mouthfeel and smooth finish.

Mountain Culture Hill People Milk Oat Cream NEIPA, 500ml Can, ABV 6.8%
For this indulgent New England Oat Cream IPA, DJ threw on his tattered corduroy overalls at the crack of dawn and trekked down the picturesque hills to the milking shed to work the teats of their fresh Sabro hops for every last drop of fresh citrus and coconutty goodness. The addition of lactose to the boil provides a velvety mouthfeel for that extra bit of Hill People luxury.

Mountain Culture 5G Galaxy Oat Cream IPA, 500ml Can, ABV 7.6%
An official statement from the Australian Government has confirmed that the launch of the 5G network and Coronavirus are, in fact, not connected, just a coincidence. In another official statement from the Australian Government, they also confirmed that if you brew an Oat Cream IPA with five separate additions of fresh Galaxy hops, it will result in juicy flavours of passionfruit, stone fruits and your pinky will turn into an antenna.

BREWERY SNAPSHOT

Built in 1912 in the beautiful Blue Mountains town of Katoomba, their building housed ‘The Echo’, the local paper for many a year. Later it allegedly passed time as a “dancing saloon and home for lost or belated drunks”, until finally ending up as a Civic Video store. In 2017 DJ and Harriet McCready embarked on transforming the dilapidated building into the first brewpub in the Blue Mountains. After 18 long months of careful renovation, they opened the doors with the goal of welcoming people from near and far to come in and have a beer. But not just any beer. Rather, they hold themselves accountable to a standard that means constantly pushing the limit and pushing themselves to figure out how they can brew better beer, every batch. Because let’s face it, life is short. They have no time for beers that don’t blow their hair back, and nor should you.
