Classic Barossa aromas of dark plum, blackberry and macerated summer berry fruits literally spill out of the glass here. Hints of Asian spice, licorice, earth, roasting meats, purple flowers, berry flan and gently spiced oak add to the wines aromatic complexity. Plenty of texture and attitude on the palate with a solid wall of ripe, concentrated black fruits. Flavours of satsuma plum, blackberry and blueberry all come into play.
Based in the Barossa Valley, Yelland & Papps is an owner-operated winery and tasting room ran by a husband and wife winemaking team Michael Papps and Susan Papps. They are boutique artisan producers pushing boundaries with respect to the traditions.
