1.How was the brewery named?

The brewery was originally slated to be on Collins Street in the city! Lots of alleys, and very Urban.

2.What beers do you have at home in your fridge now?

Fortunate Isles Crispy IPA – I’ve probably never been happier with how a beer has turned out.
Island Brewing Natural Farm Ale – make sure you check them out!
A long neck of Coopers Stout – it’s cold + nostalgia!
Slapshot Pale Ale
Urban Lager

3. Best tip for visiting the brewery?

The flights are a lot of beer (5 x 200ml) and barrel aged beers can be included if they’re on tap.

4. Pineapple on pizza, YES or NO?

Yes, pineapple on pizza but only Hawaiian. Any other pineapple on pizza is not okay.

5. If you can only use one hop for the rest of your life, what is it?

oooft, Simcoe?

6. If you could collaborate with one other brewery, who would you choose?

Suarez Family Brewery

7. Some occasions call for the ‘perfect’ beer, what are you reaching for:

8. What’s the future of craft and can Craft Cartel beer lovers get on board?

I think the future of craft lies in quality and consistency, for a long time we have focused on innovating styles and recipes but the consumer has a more developed palate now and has been burned too many times. This includes proper cold storage for beer and ensuring it’s sold before it’s old.
