FAQs

Who are the folks behind Craft Cartel?

Ben Malouf is behind Craft Cartel – a beer enthusiast who has owned and managed liquor stores across Sydney for many years. He also writes a weekly wine column for The Daily Telegraph and hosts the Food & Wine Show on 2GB. Craft Cartel would also not be possible without craft beer expert, Brendan Leenders, who has set up an impressive craft beer offering at Wenty North Liquor.

I don’t like buying online. Can I order over the telephone?

Absolutely. We’re available to take your order from 10am to 3pm, business days. Give us a ring on (02) 8055 3711.

Which areas do you deliver to?

We deliver craft beer right across Australia. Legally we are not allowed to deliver to some areas – the Northern Territory is ‘dry’ for instance, and there are a few remote locations we just can’t get to.

Are there any ‘no go’ areas?

Delivery availability is checked automatically at checkout based on your postcode. If we’re not able to deliver to your address, you’ll be shown this before you complete your order, so there’s no need to check a list in advance.

What do I need to know about the Liquor Licensing Act?

Under the Liquor Act 2007, it is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or to obtain alcohol on behalf of, a person under the age of 18 years. Craft Cartel is operated by True Blue Liquor Pty Ltd (ABN 65 673 739 903), Liquor Licence No. LIQP770017866, and supports the responsible service of alcohol.

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Nope. You’ll need to provide us with a residential or business street address.

When will I receive my order?

For Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane Metropolitan areas we’ll deliver your craft beer within 7 working days. For Perth, Adelaide, Tasmania and regional areas please allow up to 10 days. Customers in remote locations may need to allow for additional shipping time.

What happens if I’m not home when my beer arrives?

Australia Post will leave a delivery notice and you can collect your beer from the nearest post office.

Can I provide instructions on where to put my grog if I’m not home?

You sure can. We always let Australia Post know what your preferred option is.

How can I track my order?

Once your order is dispatched, we will send you an Australia Post tracking number so you know where your order is at all times.

Who delivers your craft beer?

Our trusty friends at Australia Post. From time to time we use other couriers, but we’ll let you know if this is the case.

How much do you charge for shipping?

Shipping is calculated automatically at checkout based on your delivery postcode.

When will my monthly subscription get renewed?

Monthly subscriptions automatically renew and are charged on the 14th of each month.

When does a re-delivery fee apply?

A $13 re-delivery fee will apply if your beer is returned to us because: a) you entered incorrect delivery details, or b) you ignore the calling card Australia Post leaves for you.
