Pailhead Session Pale Ale

An easy-drinking mid-strength beer that’s overflowing with flavour. Crisp, light-bodied pour carries vibrant citrus and tropical notes, balanced by a subtle floral lift. Their layered malt bill of Pilsner, Wheat, Munich and Crystal malts builds a rounded body and subtle sweetness, providing the perfect backbone to balance some of their favourite US hop varieties. Cascade and Citra loaded in the brewhouse, followed by a big dry hop of Citra and Centennial. Expect a hop-forward, full flavoured and perfectly balanced mid strength pale ale that proudly holds its own against any full-strength counterpart.

Stockade started their brewery in 2013 and called it Macarthur Grange Brewery, a word play on a great Australian pioneer and the physical location of their Brauhaus. They soon started to plot around a series of beers that are both modern and classic at the same time, combining traditional European styles with Australian ingredients and flavours. The “German” brother has left his mark all over the brewery and the beer, insisting on using only the highest quality ingredients, no sugars for high speed fermentation and no preservatives to destroy the “purity” of the beer.
