Friday Frothies – Old Wives Ales Lactohop Galaxy Review

If you are looking for something to spice up your boring, ordinary life, then look no further than Old Wives Ales Lactohop – Galaxy.

Having personally never tried a Sour Pale before, I was really quite nervous and excited on what was going to happen to my tastebuds. My mouth felt like it was lining up to go on a roller coaster of flavours and aromas and it was itching for the ride to begin.

As soon as I poured it into the glass, I could see immediately that there was more carbonation than usual in this sour, which is great because sometimes when drinking sours you can forget they are still a beer.

But this beer is not like any ordinary beers.

This beer is like the warheads of the brewing world. The sour straps of the craft society.

Sour, tart and delicious.

It has a very citrusy aroma to begin, followed by large notes of lemon and lime and finally some tropical fruits to balance. The combination of fizziness, sour and tart makes this far from an easy drinking beer but not complex in any sense. It is an acquired taste. One where you will have to enjoy sours to appreciate.

If you are looking for something different and exciting though, this is your beer.
