1. How was the brewery named?

In a light-hearted twist only months before opening, the brewery still hadn’t settled on the best name. So ‘Paper Scissors Rock’ was suggested to decide the outcome. And decide the outcome it did. But rather than play the hand-over-fist game to decide, the fun and memorable name of Paper Scissors Rock was chosen instead.

2. What beers do you have at home in your fridge now? 

Apart from our own beer, there’s a bit of independent variety in there including Mountain Culture, Hop Nation, Coopers, Hawkers, Bells Beach and Dollar Bill.

3. Best tip for visiting the brewery?

Grab a tasting paddle and try any 4 beers. Large 200ml taster glasses too! Great value for $20!

8. What’s the future of craft and can Craft Cartel beer lovers get on board?

The future of craft beer is hyperlocal beer, and buying independent and local beer where ever and whenever possible. Good people are making good beer not far from you. Seek them out and support them. If buying online, buy direct from the brewery, seek out their listed stockists, as well as great initiatives like Craft Cartel’s “direct from the brewery”.
