TASTING NOTES

A new world Pale Ale inspired by the American Pacific North-West styles, this beer is made with premium malts and a selection of hops from three continents.  With a generous malty profile, lots of aromatic hop characters and a good lick of hop bitterness, it is very moorish leaving you wanting to have another.

BREWERY SNAPSHOT

James Booth is the brewer for Black Dog and also the winemaker for Taminick Cellars.  He is the fourth generation of Booth winemakers that have owned and operated Taminick Cellars since 1904. His interest in beer developed at 18 when he started brewing with beer kits.  It didn’t take long before he began experimenting with recipes before moving on to using all raw ingredients of malted barley and hops.

DID YOU KNOW?

Macca, the Booth family winery dog, he had been part of the Booth family for over 125 years and in that time he has become a familiar face to people visiting the brewery/cellar door.  Macca passed away in April 2015 a will be missed deeply by the Booth family but also by those that had the pleasure of meeting him at the brewery.
