TASTING NOTES
This beer was born from a quiet chat about a gap in Brewdog’s portfolio. “What beer don’t they have, that they get asked for a lot?” This XPA answered the call. Their head brewer said, “Hold my beer” and stepped right up to the plate. It’s as bright and tropical as a Queensland morning. Punk XPA delivers huge aromas of passionfruit and tropical stone fruits from a dry-hop bigger than most New England IPAs. A tasty golden wave of juicy fruits follow, mixed with pine and citrus. Simcoe and Mosaic are the stars of this unforgettable show. Punk XPA is 100% carbon negative and a GOLD medal winner at the 2021 Australian International Beer Awards in the American Pale Ale category.
BREWERY SNAPSHOT
Brewdog owners Martin and James were bored of the industrially brewed Lagers and stuffy Ales that dominated the UK beer market. They decided the best way to fix this undesirable predicament was to brew their own. Consequently in April 2007 BrewDog was born. They brewed tiny batches, filled bottles by hand and sold their beers at local markets and out of the back of their beat up old van. Located on a 5.5 acre green field site in Ellon, just North of Aberdeen in Scotland, their state of the art eco brewery is one of the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly breweries in the world.
