TASTING NOTES
ALL CAPS! Classic American Pilsner harkens back to a Silver Age of American Lager brewing when the highest quality ingredients and focus on flavour and drinkability prevailed. Corn-like sweetness is balanced out with a massive dose of Czech Saaz hops for bitterness and American Cascade hops for flavour and aroma. Full, rich malt and hops dominate, but are complimented by distinctive grainy sweetness only maize can provide.
BREWERY SNAPSHOT
The brewery was founded by Todd Matteson and Thomas Palmer. They started as homebrewers before Al Gore discovered the internet in America. They both spent time doing other things for money, but committed themselves to learning the brewing trade on a professional level. They met in London in 2013. They put their first beer in the tank on Stewart’s Road in March of 2015.
DID YOU KNOW?
Mondo means “world” in Italian. There’s variations of it in most of the other romance languages. Todd and Thomas chose it because they felt it best represented the styles of beer they brew, their collective experiences around the world, their influences coming from so many different cultures, and because it sounds cool. It rolls off the lips with ease, and connects Thomas to his Italian heritage.
