TASTING NOTES
Brewers get the privilege to sample their beers straight from the tanks in all their raw glory. Some beers need a little polishing to get ready to go out into the world, while others—the hop-heavy, rowdy, crowd-pleasers—should just be left alone. Sierra Nevada wanted to share this brewery-only treat with you, so they present this Hazy Little Thing, their unfiltered, unprocessed IPA, straight from the tanks and into the can.
BREWERY SNAPSHOT
Sierra Nevada set out with a simple goal: brew the beers they wanted to drink. They started small, with a homebrew shop, a love of American hops and plenty of passion. In the process, they changed the beer world forever. Decades later, they’re still at it, and the passion burns brighter than ever.
DID YOU KNOW?
A new method Sierra Nevada created to add hop aroma to beer, the “Hop Torpedo” is a stainless steel device packed with whole-cone hops. Fermenting beer is circulated out of a fermenter, through the column of whole-cone hops, and back into the fermentation tank. This new method has revolutionized how they dry hop their beers, adding intense hop flavor and aroma with no additional bitterness.
