Meet the pale ale that makes others pale by comparison!
Artfully brewed to sit between traditional American and Australian pale ales, our brewers searched the world for the perfect combination of hops, blending USA favourites with Australia’s heroes to create the perfect pale. The result is a tropical-tinged treat that’s a glowing golden in colour, bursting with tropical fruit aroma & piney resin. Smooth and approachable but packed with aromatic hops, Colonial Pale Ale is brewed to linger on the palate, not overpower it.
Malt: Pale, Wheat, Munich, Cara Malt

About Colonial Brewing Co.
One of the first breweries to open on Western Australia’s wild coastline, Colonial Brewing Co. tapped it’s first keg in 2004 and since then they’ve been obsessed with making good, uncomplicated beer. They’ve come a long way since that first keg – grown into a national, Australian owned, brand and found an East Coast home in Port Melbourne. But even as they grow, the product is continuously made by local brewers for the local community. Always uncomplicated.

This unique and under-stated Pale Ale – inspired directly by the wonderful ‘Altbiers’ of Dusseldorf – is an immediately approachable medium-bodied beer, with hints of brooding plum on the nose, displaying soft, round and subtly rich, biscuit, nougat and nut malt accents on the forward palate, braced by a tangy – slightly peppery – mineral hop bite!
One of the first breweries to open on Western Australia’s wild coastline, the Colonial Brewing Co tapped its first keg in 2004. It was the first step in an incredible journey, and guided by some of Australia’s most talented and passionate brewers.
