The legends behind Blackflag Brewing were beer drinkers before they were brewers. In late 2019, Blackflag was born on the beers! A small collective looking for a challenge. A culture of creativity and brilliance without boundaries. It’s a meticulous design process from liquid to the can. They aim for sessionability despite ABV. Hold onto your hats cause Blackflag went big with the kind of quick growth that comes from having such kick-ass awesome beers, they quickly realised they needed to custom build a space for their needs and thus the Blackflag Compound was born!

It’s a 2,100 sqm brewery and taproom in the Coolum Industrial Park. The brewhouse is on the ground floor with the bar up on a mezzanine level, so you can look over the production floor and see beer being made. Between the air-conditioned indoor area, the viewing deck bar and the beer garden with astro turf and picnic tables, there’s plenty of space for everyone!
