Bastille Day is coming up on Sunday, July 14th so naturally we are celebrating with some fine French wine and you’re invited to join us!

That’s right folks, we’re hosting a complimentary Bastille Day Wine Tasting. So, grab your baguettes and berets and have a couple of glasses on us this weekend.
We will be pouring Chateau L’Aumerade Marie Christine Rosé, Lajolie Pinot Noir and Le Fou Grenache.

What is Bastille Day?
Bastille Day is known as France’s national day and commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison, a key turning point of the French Revolution.

So why should you love Bastille Day too?
Well, for starters France has historically produced some of the finest vintages around, and its regions have lent their names to some of the world’s most famous grapes. For us Australians, Bastille Day is a good excuse to drink great French wines!

Chateau de L’Aumerade Marie Christine Rose
Presented in a beautiful Emilie Galle (French Noveau Movement) style bottle, this French rosé has an aromatic nose of fresh fruit and grenadine. Fruity but dry, this full bodied wine goes terrifically well with Mediterranean and Asian cuisines.
Le Fou Sauvignon Blanc
This Sauvignon is from the estate of the Fayet family based close to Narbonne, South West of Beziers in the South of France. This wine isn’t your tropical fruit bomb with residual sugar. It’s crisp and fresh with lovely citrus tones.
Le Fou Pinot Noir
The Le Fou Pinot Noir is textural, fruity and savoury creating a great food wine for a variety of dishes and occasions. Delightful aromas and luscious flavours of dark cherries, sweet red fruits, and savoury character of tea leaves and leather.
