TASTING NOTES

Akasha Lupulin Fog NEIIPA, 375ml Can, ABV 8.5%
Now what kind of fog blows against the wind?” Lupulin Fog, that’s what. Low in bitterness with a lush, full mouthfeel at the finish, its orange and tropical haze made it one of Australia’s original New England IPAs. Look across the water Look for the Fog!

Akasha Mutiny On The Bounty Milk Stout, 375ml Can, ABV 6.0%
Set sail for decadence with the creamy bounty of this unique stout, where a complex rigging of dark malts rides upon roiling swells of coconut milk and rich, dark chocolate, crashing across the tongue in tidal waves of mutinous delight. It’s the ultimate dessert island beer!

Akasha Korben IIPA, 375ml Can, ABV 8.5%
From the heart of the hop cosmos comes the Korben. A dazzling constellation of Simcoe, Centennial and Mosaic with a huge passionfruit shine, soaring tropicals, subtle sweetness and a sublime bitter finish, it’s as artfully composed as the music of the spheres.

Akasha Hopsmith IPA, 375ml Can, ABV 6.8%
The holy trinity of Amarillo, Simcoe and Centennial hops forms the heartt of Hopsmith, a West Coast-style India Pale Ale that delivers you from boring beer with its citrus, pine and fruit notes, backed by an earthy, bitter finish that makes the heavens sing.

Akasha Mosaic IPA, 375ml Can, ABV 6.8%
A shining melon and stonefruit core of flavour elevates Mosaic to the sublime, with a lean malt profile bringing the virtues of the hops to the fore. Ending on a moderately bitter finish, it’s an India Pale Ale most worthy of tribute.

Akasha Little Smith IPA, 375ml Can, ABV 3.5%
Low on alcohol but big on flavour, Akasha’s Little Smith India Pale Ale illuminates the tastebuds with pine and zesty fruit notes in a perfectly balanced, aromatic and refreshing beer that’ll leave you longing for more.

About Akasha Brewing Co.

Located in Sydney’s inner west is a small brewery renowned for their big hop flavours! Akasha Brewing Company at Five Dock was born for all the right reasons, a combination of exceptional skill and a drunken mate who was willing to back it. This is Akasha Brewing Co, two mates, three years ago, one with exceptional brewing skills and one with the confidence in his mates abilities to help him send it all the way. They form the perfect partnership of cautious genius and full on passion. Even their name, Akasha, represents perfection, hailing from Sanskrit meaning the fifth element or the perfect environment. The other four elements are represented in their core range of beers, Tradewind Lager, Freshwater Pale Ale, Fire Within Amber Ale and the earthy Hopsmith IPA.

Head brewer Dave Padden’s unique brewing style was born after a trip to the US, where he fell in love with the West Coast Pale Ale and IPA styles, predominantly using the classic west coast hops varieties in his beers, such as Cascade, Centennial, Simcoe and Amarillo. What makes Akasha beers unique is the way Dave combines the different hops varieties. In the words of the man himself, “a great IPA takes a few hops varieties to work together and create something greater than each variety on its own” as with the Hopsmith IPA, who was born from the holy trio of Amarillo, Simcoe and Centennial hops or their flagship beer, the Korben IIPA who is a divine creation of Simcoe, Centennial and Mosaic forming a dazzling flavour of tropical fruits, subtle sweetness and a sublime bitter finish. Dave also dabbles in some Australian hops varieties, such as Cascade and Galaxy that form the Canada Bay XPA. With attention to detail every step of the way, these hop forward beers are flavourful, crisp and refreshing making for some easy drinking.
